La Structure du Futur

About Kaytek

KayTek strives to preserve the essence of the customs of the Haitian household in our designs. The house model is designed to accommodate the day-to-day activities of a family, and to provide a sense of “belonging”. It is essential to ensure that all unit designs are able to blend into the communities. Consequently, our architects analyzes tediously from the choice of colors to building materials to create a house intrinsic to Haiti. Beyond the individual homes, KayTek is dedicated to rebuilding communities and the social fabric of our country through culturally relevant design and urban planning.

Rebuilding

Our main mission is to help rebuild Haiti with safe structures. We do this trough building with Steel Studs. Check out our project gallery for more information

Steel Framing

The panel construction is a steel building solution that is stable and safe. Steel panels are assembled with screws that will form the specific structure of walls, floors, stairs, and roofs.

This technology connects the roof and walls to the foundation, allowing the construction to withstand the violent movements of earthquakes and hurricanes. This technology has also been tested by construction experts in California, an area frequently subject to earthquakes. Find out more >>

About us

The primary mission of KayTek is to meet the high demand for housing in Haiti, which has been greatly accentuated since the January 12, 2010 earthquake. We seek to improve the quality of life of Haitians through the construction of residences and commercial buildings made of steel panels. They are ensured to be:

  • Safe
  • Reliable
  • Fast
  • Affordable
  • Resistant to natural disasters (earthquakes and hurricanes)

KayTek will further engage in training young engineers, foremen, and other construction professionals in this new technology to develop their skills and encourage economic development through job creation and entrepreneurship.

KayTek is a division sof GaMa Enterprises SA

Our Mission

KayTek seeks to provide innovative and sustainable solutions to the housing needs of the lower and middle classes, thereby improving their living conditions.

We train young professionals in the construction sector and ensure that young entrepreneurs are involved in the process of sustainable development of Haiti.

GaMa Entreprises S.A

GaMa Enterprises S.A. is a company comprised of professionals proficient with the capacity to meet the challenge of the declining quality of the domestic industry. More importantly, however, they have been trained to address the urgent need for reconstruction in Haiti. The local construction industry thrives on the basis to build safely and confront and prevent damage caused by earthquakes and other natural disasters. KayTek proposes to take a step in this direction through innovative construction with steel panels.

GaMa Enterprises S.A. seeks to be a national leader in the manufacture of metal frames by using advanced technology and reliability to meet the growing need-base of the Haitian population.

To accomplish this mission, we will establish several KayTek plants to drive the national production of steel panels. We will also market through the creation of a micro franchise model, which will be undertaken by young professionals trained by the company.

Products

Public & Flexibility

The construction process used by KayTek allows for the flexibility needed to respond efficiently to the needs of a diverse audience:

  • Households with low and middle income
  • The Haitian government
  • Owners of commercial and private schools
  • NGOs and international organizations

Our buildings can meet the demands of both real estate and private institutions, whether commercial or administrative.

The production of materials will take place locally, in Haiti. KayTek will be involved in the construction process as opposed to importing parts. We will develop the local expertise and, thus, reduce the cost of materials.

Kits

We aspire to sell the light gauge steel frames in local construction stores in kits. In those kits, we will provide all that is needed to build an additional room into a building or residence.

The erection of the steel frame structure is simple. The kit is composed of the steel frames, the instructions along with the screws needed to assemble each part.

This is a way for KayTek to initiate this fast, low-cost and efficient way of building to a larger public.

Steel Panels

The panel construction is a steel building solution that is stable and safe. Steel panels are assembled with screws that will form the specific structure of walls, floors, stairs, and roofs.

This technology connects the roof and walls to the foundation, allowing the construction to withstand the violent movements of earthquakes and hurricanes. This technology has also been tested by construction experts in California, an area frequently subject to earthquakes.

Construction with Steel Panels: Light but Strong

Indeed, steel panels are less burdensome and less complicated than traditional building blocks and cement.

They also differ from timber construction, which can rot, be destroyed by termites or fire. Steel panels ensure protection against corrosion. The materials used are also resistant to fire by the use of non-combustible materials.

In addition, steel panels meet national and international standards of construction. Construction steel panels are, thus, the ideal solution for any construction in Haiti.
