Life in Haiti with Marie

Life in Haiti with Marie is a Haiti-focused charitable organization and digital media platform founded by Marie. It documents everyday life in Haiti while supporting educational opportunities and community development initiatives for disadvantaged children and families.

Through YouTube and social media, the platform shares firsthand accounts of daily experiences, community activities, local challenges, personal stories, and developments throughout Haiti. Its content provides an authentic perspective on Haitian society, highlighting the country's culture, resilience, and everyday realities.

Beyond digital storytelling, Life in Haiti with Marie operates an educational initiative in Port-au-Prince, where it transformed a rented building into a learning environment for children. The project was developed through fundraising, community support, and hands-on construction efforts, including the preparation of classrooms and the creation of classroom furniture.

The educational program focuses on primary education, helping children develop fundamental reading, writing, and mathematics skills. Its activities include classroom instruction, educational materials, student assessments, report cards, and community celebrations. The organization also provides charitable assistance, including clothing distributions and support for families experiencing financial hardship.

As part of its continued development, Life in Haiti with Marie is working to expand its school beyond fourth grade. The expansion plans include preparing additional classroom space for fifth-grade students, with local builders involved in estimating the construction costs. This initiative aims to increase enrollment capacity and provide students with greater educational continuity.

The organization also offers child sponsorship opportunities, with contributions supporting tuition, school supplies, and other educational necessities. Its website lists a typical annual sponsorship contribution of US$150, subject to changes in educational expenses.

Through its combination of digital storytelling, primary education, child sponsorship, and community assistance, Life in Haiti with Marie connects international supporters with grassroots initiatives in Haiti. Its founder-led platform allows audiences to follow the organization's activities and development through videos, livestreams, photographs, and regular updates.

Life in Haiti with Marie is dedicated to creating educational opportunities, supporting disadvantaged families, and contributing to sustainable community development in Haiti.
