Eden, delivering the gold standard in skin care

Eken skin, located at #2, rue Darguin, is  a little gem tucked away in Complex l’Esplanade. It offers anyone who wishes to pamper their mind, body and soul, a relaxing atmosphere to do just that.

Patricia Clerié, Owner and Skincare Specialist, first got into skincare by constantly picking a her brother’s face as they were growing up. Eventually she met someone who recommended she attend cosmetology school and officially launch into her true passion. Mrs. Clerié has been in business at Eden since 2011 but has been a skincare expert since 2006.

                Eden offers a wide variety of services at competitive prices, such as their microdermabrasion which comes at the best rates to be found in Port-au-Prince. Other popular services include acupuncture, which most people seek out to relieve stress, anxiety or for help in losing weight or quitting smoking. Eden is also one of the few places that offer waxing services using both soft wax, and the much gentler on sensitive skin, Brazilian hard wax. Brazilian hard wax uses special technology that allows the wax to adhere to the hairs to be removed without pulling too much on the skin underneath; it is also removed directly, without the use of cloth. “So many of my clients refuse to let me touch them with anything else,” saying Mrs. Clerié with a laugh.

                Other hair removal services include electrolysis, which is more long term. The service comes in 15 to 60 minutes increments where each hair follicle is damaged or destroyed one at a time to create a permanent solution to that pesky unwanted hair problem. Several sessions are likely required to treat large areas.

                The spa offers such standards as various types of massages and no fewer than seven types of facials. The most luxurious of which ends with a collagen and gold mask which can help improve skin’s elasticity, reduces fine lines and wrinkles while eradicating free radicals among other benefits.

                Every facial is customizable using Mrs. Clerié considerable skincare expertise to determine exactly what each particular client needs given their issues. From treating acne, to sunburns, to routine time maintenance to keep the skin healthy with a natural glow, Eden does it all. While laying back in a dimly lit room with relaxing music playing in the background to sooth the senses, all treatment aim to soothe the body into a calm and zen like state.
