ABOUT US

TechnoServe works with enterprising people in the developing world to build competitive farms, businesses and industries.

We are a nonprofit organization that develops business solutions to poverty by linking people to information, capital and markets. Our work is rooted in the idea that hardworking people can generate income, jobs and wealth for their families and communities. With more than four decades of proven results, we believe in the power of private enterprise to transform lives.

OUR HISTORY OUR TEAM
Our origin traces back to the village of Adidome, Ghana. In 1963, our founder Ed Bullard traveled there with his family for a year of volunteer service. Ed was captivated by the spirit and character of the Ghanaian people. But he was appalled by the depth of poverty that surrounded him. Our success in creating business solutions to poverty is due in large part to our talented and highly committed team. Our staff combine business expertise with local knowledge, relationships and context to help hardworking men and women generate income, jobs and wealth for their families and communities.

HOW WE WORK

HOW WE WORK IMPACT + STORIES
TechnoServe works with enterprising people in the developing world to build competitive farms, businesses and industries. We help grow strong markets that create income, jobs and wealth in poor communities. In 2013, TechnoServe's work made a difference in the lives of 2.2 million people in 30 countries, creating a better future for families in the developing world.

Strategic Plan

TechnoServe will be the most effective catalyst and partner for transformative, on-the-ground, market-based solutions to poverty. See how we will achieve this vision and double our impact by 2017.

Meet Jackeline Mukandori. With training from TechnoServe, she nearly tripled her income from coffee, enabling her to purchase health insurance for her family. When Jackeline's son later contracted malaria, she had the insurance to get him treated.

Over 45 years, our community of donors and partners have helped us transform millions of lives, but our job is far from over.

Help us respond to the challenge of global poverty. Invest in enterprising people in the world's poorest places – donate, spread the word and join us today.
