Impactful and Sustainable Efforts to Promote Haiti

Ayiti Nexus was launched in 2012 in response to a growing demand for highly skilled technical assistance throughout Haiti.

A women-owned consulting firm, we are committed to Haiti’s development by leading creative projects that encourage public dialogue, bring sustainable solutions to recurrent challenges, and/or help improve the public image. We offer technical, logistical and advisory services to an array of clients including non-governmental organizations, development agencies, private and public institutions, and individuals. Unique products/activities are also developed in-house in line with the company’s concern to bring attention to positive initiatives in Haiti, and are anchored in the partners’ core beliefs in the importance of quality, sustainability, decentralization, and diplomacy.

The firm’s services focus on bridging the divide between concept and implementation through a strategic approach tailored to meet each client’s goals.

Established in Port-au-Prince with satellite operations in Cap Haitien, Ayiti Nexus is led by two principal consultants of Haitian and American backgrounds, with extensive experience managing grassroots projects of various natures and consulting with top development agencies.

Our Team

Management Team:

Principal consultant Nathalie Brunet has extensive experience in project start-ups, communications, and management of donor relations, having enabled three nonprofits to stand from the ground up in Haiti and managed high-profile activities for various funders. She is an entrepreneur with a wide network of significant contacts.

Nathalie manages Ayiti Nexus’ office in Port-au-Prince and activities in the region.

Principal consultant Regine Zamor is a media producer, writer, and development professional who has played a lead role in recent economic development projects targeting the North of Haiti. She has extensive expertise in community outreach, bilateral partnerships, and has responsibly managed a combination of activities across various sectors.

Regine handles the firm’s operations in the northern region.

In addition, key office staff support Nathalie and Regine with operations in both regions

Associate Consultants:

Julia Weinstock holds a M.A. in Global Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a B.A in International Relations from the Pontificia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP). Her professional experiences have focused on international development, predominantly in the fields of governance and accountability, stabilization and recovery programming, and social policy. Julia has worked in the public sector in Brazil, lead think tanks in the UK, and with the United Nations and USAID in Haiti from 2010 to 2013.

Within Ayiti Nexus, she provides expertise in monitoring and evaluation, methodology design, policy analysis, research and impact assessment. She is fluent in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish.

Dr. Kathylynn Griff has a double Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and International Studies, with a minor in French from the University of South Florida. She obtained a M.Ed in Adult Education/Human Resource Development and then a Doctorate degree in education, with a focus on Organizational Leadership from Florida International University. She has acquired a range of professional experiences in the field of higher education in the past nine years, and has 14 years of experience volunteering in Haiti and the Dominican Republic on education, spiritual and health projects. Dr. Griff also sat on various community boards in South Florida that represented Haitian-American family interests. She is currently a Research Professor at the Université Notre Dame d’Haïti.

As an Affiliate Consultant of Ayiti Nexus, Dr. Griff leads research, statistics and training activities for projects awarded to the firm. She is fluent in English, Haitian Creole, Spanish, and conversational in French.

Myrna Domit’s connection to Haiti began in 2004 while working with the Public Information Office of the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission and later as a contributing reporter for the Associated Press. In 2009, she moved back to her native country, Brazil, to work for the New York Times Brazil Bureau. Later, Myrna specialized as a Communications Expert and Consultant for various clients worldwide, on event management, investigative documentary production, and brand development. Nowadays, she works as a Sr. Communications Specialist for a leading sustainability consulting firm based in Miami, FL. She also advises Ayiti Nexus on high-level activities requiring specific communications resources and skills, as well as media tool development and international media outreach.

Myrna has a B.A. in International Relations and Latin American Studies from Tufts University, and a M.S. in Journalism with a specialization in Digital Media from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish; conversational in French and understands Haitian Creole.

Meredith Hutchison is an award-winning photographer, writer, and web designer with an M.A. in International Affairs from Columbia University and a B.A. in Comparative Literature from the University of Pittsburgh. She has worked at the intersection of media and development across the globe, and has designed and orchestrated advocacy campaigns and participatory media programs. Meredith is fluent in English, and proficient in French. She is also the designer of the Ayiti Nexus website.

For Ayiti Nexus, she handles in-house graphic design and photography needs, and the creative concept of visual communication tools for various projects.

A selection of vetted independent experts and firms with specialized skills is also attached to Ayiti Nexus’ roster and available on an as needed basis.
